3 Things that give you the POWER to Change for Good!!

1. Make a list of WHY YOU WANT TO CHANGE
Examples: Live Longer, better health, disease free, reduce medications or off of medications, have children, be more employable, lower health care costs, lower insurance rates, more energy, more attractive, more desirable for to the opposite sex, more confidence, etc.
When you have reasons that are meaningful to you, you will be motivated to change. It’s not will power that is the driving force for changing your body and changing your health it’s what is your inner motivation. Your motivating factors will be the foundation for commitment. Without commitment you will not reach your goal.
2. Decide what you want in every area of life:
Health and fitness
When you realize that your desires in life will require you to be in the best health possible, this will motivate you more than any quick short-term goal. Losing weight or getting more fit for an event is great, but what happens after the event? Then what? You always have to have goals to work toward. We are either progressing or degreasing.
3. Surround yourself with a supportive team
Research has shown that people who take a team/group approach to changing their health have an 80% better change of reaching their goals as compared to those who do it alone. Why? It’s because of accountability but most importantly, it the collective energy or ‘like’ energy that is very empowering. It gives you strength when you feel discouraged or when change isn’t happening fast enough. You will have resources from professionals and other people like you who are going through the same struggle.
